(A Lesson on a Chilly Chili Day)
I'd like to think that Brian and I are always learning something new from each other - sometimes even in unexpected, small ways.
One of the biggest lessons in life that I've learned from Brian is that there is always a second, third, fourth or fifth option when something doesn't go according to plan.
Sunday was a chilly day which for us means chili and football. We've used our same favorite chili recipe for 20+ years now, but when we went to open the tomato juice on Sunday, we realized that it had been opened and was bad. We had to throw it out. Brian immediately went into, "Let's think of something else" mode. What we came up with was one of our favorite chili recipes of all time.
Sometimes things don't go according to plan and sometimes those are the best days of all.
